Mebel Internasional was established in Central Java, Indonesia in 2004 due to its natural resources and famous craftsmanship. The company initially began manufacturing furniture to sell to retailers in the USA and UK.

As its reputation for high quality products and reliability grew, Mebel Internasional became one of prominent exporters in Central Java.

Today, Mebel Internasional supported by a home of skilled carpenters, hand carvers, artists and other talented staff supply fine hand made furniture to customers around the globe.

Mebel Internasional furniture is mostly made of solid mahogany wood (swietania mahogany) crafted by skilled woodworkers who share old and traditional ways of making furniture by hand. We also process any wood as per customer specification such as mindi solid wood, medium density fibreboard (MDF) and veneered plywood.

Wood is a living material which can expand or shrink according to its surrounding. That’s why we carefully process it before making a piece of furniture. Our hardwoods are slowly dried to moisture content of 8%. Boards are carefully sorted and matched with a consistent grain pattern and colour. Panels are then planed and sanded for use as tabletops, frames, legs, back panels or other components.

Our solid wood construction follows the manner of traditional mortise-and-tenon joints and dove tail joints - still the best guarantee of strength and permanent stability. We follow the rules of floating components to allow the wood to shrink or expand avoiding the risk of cracking, such as table tops, shelves, backs or even drawer bottoms. Natural and solid wood appearance is most important to us and keeps Mebel Internasional’s furniture quality and integrity standards at a superb level.

In addition to using advanced technology in Mebel Internasional's production, machining and sanding processes, we rely on traditional cabinet making techniques for furniture assembly and finishing, where human values - trained eye and skills – have a crucial charge of the final result.

Mebel Internasional's fine finishes are a key factor in the furniture lasting value. In expert hands, stains can be mixed and blended to match or imitate the colour and even the grain of other woods. The types of materials, number of coats of stain, filler, sealer and topcoat - and the amount of hand labour devoted to each piece - provide the stunning colour quality and beautiful surface sheen that give each piece of Mebel Internasional’s furniture a character of its own.

Our quality finishes also protect and extend the life of your furniture by sealing the wood against moisture to prevent expanding, shrinkage, twisting, cracking and splitting. They also protect exposed wood surfaces from deterioration due to sunlight and other harmful agents.

We even anticipate the shrinkage by fully paint any part of furniture before assembly, this to ensure that any shrinkage will not expose the bare wood.
